Engineered for reliable vibration monitoring in demanding industrial environments, the hermetically sealed industrial piezoelectric accelerometer model 101 utilizes the industry-standard ICP/IEPE/LIVM 2-wire voltage transmission technique with a consistent 4 mA current supply. To ensure accurate and noise-free measurements, the signal ground is isolated from both the mounting surface and the outer case, effectively preventing ground loops. Faraday shielding minimizes its susceptibility to electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) issues. The robust annular shear mode design eliminates errors caused by thermal transients and spurious signals from high transverse vibrations. Its low-noise electronics and temperature-compensated design guarantee precise results across the entire operating temperature range. A wide selection of frequency ranges ensures it can meet virtually all customer requirements. Low-frequency accelerometer versions (A=9) incorporate an integrated low-pass filter within their signal conditioning electronics, which attenuates the sensor's mechanical resonance, associated distortion, and potential overload.

Applications typiques

These accelerometers are designed for vibration measurement in demanding environments to facilitate the monitoring of industrial machinery. The high-frequency variant is suitable for detecting vibrations in components such as rolling element bearings and pump cavitation. The medium-frequency variant is appropriate for assessing the overall vibration levels of equipment like pumps, motors, and fans. The low-frequency model finds application in industries such as petrochemical, machine tool, and paper, specifically for monitoring slow-speed equipment like agitators and cooling towers. A high-temperature version is typically employed when additional thermal protection is necessary, such as in the drying section of a paper machine.
